Quantitative Investment Management (QIM) team

Manages over 50 equity strategies across various geographies, investment styles, and risk/return profiles. The team is experiencing strong asset and account growth, requiring further investment into people, data, and tools.

Position: Quant Research Analyst, Investment Management Unit, London

As part of the QIM team, the Quant Research Analyst will support various equity portfolios by maintaining and enhancing stock selection factors and processes, with a focus on ESG factors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Research (40%): Propose and validate new ideas; conduct research, back-testing, and documentation of ESG factors; communicate findings effectively.
  2. Automation (20%): Develop tools and strategies for signal construction.
  3. Portfolio Management (20%): Assist in portfolio management, ensure input accuracy, and identify enhancement opportunities.
  4. Communication and Client Service (20%): Present findings through meetings and publications; stay updated on sustainable investing research; collaborate with clients, operations, and research teams.
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in quantitative analysis and handling large data sets.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with ESG data and familiarity with ESG regulations.
  • Ability to communicate results to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to engage in various projects.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, and computing.
  • Experience with portfolio construction and factor models.
  • Excellent organization skills for managing multiple projects.
