Job summary

Barlowe LLP in London invites penultimate-year computer science students for a 12-week summer internship within our technology teams. You will write production-grade code, work across platforms that support our quantitative research, and collaborate with engineers on high-impact projects from day one.

The ideal candidate is studying CS with a 2:1 or above, graduating in 2028, and has experience in C#, Java or C++.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a 2:1 in Computer Science or closely related field.
• Penultimate year and graduating in 2028.
• Experience with an OO language such as C#, Java or C++.
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures and systems design.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production-grade code for large, complex datasets.
• Support and evolve production platforms and research tools.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to improve data quality and value.
• Develop and optimise database queries and underlying infrastructure.
• Enhance internal tools and data processing pipelines at scale.
