Job summary

Optiver in London is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer for an internship starting Aug 2026. You will work with traders, researchers and engineers to build fast, robust solutions used in capital markets and benefit from hands-on mentorship and an intensive academy.

Graduating 2024–2027 with up to 3 years of experience, you should be proficient in C++, Python or Java and have a strong foundation in architecture, concurrency and databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in CS/CE with outstanding academic achievements
• Graduating Aug 2024–Aug 2027 with up to 3 years of work experience
• Proficient in C++, Python, or Java and strong understanding of computer architecture and OS concepts

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with traders, researchers, risk analysts and engineers to build simple, well-architected solutions
• Develop software for capital markets and gain deep engineering knowledge in finance tech
• Contribute to training and onboarding through Optiver’s Global Academy and mentorship program
