Job Description

As a Quality Technologist at Valeo Foods UK, you will be responsible for ensuring our site packing meets high quality standards. This role is 37.5 hours per week, Sunday to Friday - Night Shifts.

Key responsibilities
  • Maintain site packing standards and product quality through line checks.
  • Support sampling and taste panel programs by preparing and reviewing samples and results.
  • Manage incoming raw materials and packaging sampling, approval, and shelf life monitoring systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding raw material and packaging rejections.
  • Maintain the site's glass and hard plastic register.
  • Oversee the site retained samples system.
  • Assist in customer complaint investigations.
  • Conduct system audits, HACCP audits, and hygiene and housekeeping audits.
  • Support maintenance of the HACCP plan.
  • Investigate food safety and quality incidents, liaising with relevant departments for corrective actions.
  • Ensure documentation is up to date.
Knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and safely.
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Decisive with quick decision-making skills.
  • High accuracy in work.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
