Job description

Refeyn Ltd are looking for a Quality Technician to join our Operations team based in Oxford. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,000 and £33,000 plus excellent company benefits.

The Quality Technician Role

As our Quality Technician, you will lead the day-to-day management of Goods Inwards Inspection and Finished product inspections (post FAT). This position also focuses on leading the NCR process for internal and supplier rejects. Supports the quality engineer with data to drive corrective actions.

Additionally, the role supports the Quality Engineer in departmental activities including calibration, reworks, audits, stock checks, First Pass Yield.

Key Responsibilities As Our Quality Technician

  • Management of non-conforming components and assemblies.
  • Performing investigations and develop corrective and preventative actions
  • Perform QC checks and inspections on production items throughout the manufacturing process
  • Managing goods-inwards inspections on components and assemblies e.g. mechanical and electronics
  • Support the creation and ongoing administration of the supplier management processes
  • Assisting in creation and administration of calibration management system
  • Conducting root cause analysis, 8D reports, SCARs (fishbone diagram, 5WHY's etc)
  • To support the Quality Department in any other relevant quality tasks including but not limited to internal audits, preparation of procedures or assisting with investigations.

What Were Looking For In Our Quality Technician

  • Minimum GCSE Level or equivalent experience
  • Experience within mechanical/electronic preferred
  • Primary optical experience is beneficial but not necessary
  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
  • The ability to use basic metrology equipment
  • Quick to learn and possess a keen eye for detail.
  • Organised and structured approach to their work
  • Complying with all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong team-working skills coupled with an ability to build relationships with different people and groups.
