Qualifications

  • Significant experience in food safety and quality management.
  • Degree level qualification in Food Science/Safety or equivalent.
  • HACCP Level 3 Qualification or above.

About the role

We have a great opportunity for a Quality Systems & Regulatory Specialist to join us, at our site in Portadown.

Reporting to Site Technical Manager,you will be responsible for all site Quality Management Systems ensuring that the requirements of Kerry standards, site Food Security and Safety Programs, Group Regulatory policies, Product specifications and all other Customer requirements are fully incorporated into the running of the site.

This is a permanent, full-time and onsite role, operating from Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with standards, processes, and systems across the site.
  • Maintain high awareness and understanding of Quality policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Provide technical systems support to Quality and Production teams, ensuring a standardized approach to all QMS activities.
  • Maintain and update the site Quality Management System (QMS) framework, incorporating Group, Regulatory, Customer, and 3rd party standards.
  • Audit and control quality documentation to keep it accurate and up-to-date.
  • Verify that all materials have necessary approvals and are correctly set up on SAP.
  • Generate, maintain, and update internal KPI and customer reports with accurate data analysis and trending.
  • Implement robust traceability procedures and regularly challenge them.
  • Establish a robust QMS Internal Audit Programme covering all aspects of Customer Technical standards.
  • Maintain the supplier management system.
  • Confirm that all customer product specifications are in place, agreed upon, and signed off.
  • Maintain site HACCP plans and associated documentation with the HACCP team.
  • Manage Customer Complaint handling, responses, reporting, and trending.
  • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Additional tasks as specified in the role.
Qualifications and skills
  • Significant experience within a similar role, managing and leading food safety, quality and legality within food manufacturing.
  • Degree level qualification in Food Science/Safety or equivalent.
  • HACCP Level 3 Qualification or above
  • Internal Auditing trained
  • Experience in management of BRC and retailer technical standards
  • Strong IT skills – previous experience of SAP would be beneficial
  • Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills, fluency of English
  • Good communication skills at all levels
