We are seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of our Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) systems.
Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant standards, legislation, and customer requirements while supporting operational teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.
This role is ideal for an experienced QHSE professional with a background in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or industrial environments who enjoys working closely with operational teams and driving a culture of continual improvement.
QHSE Management
- Manage and maintain the company's Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EN 1090, ISO 3834 and relevant customer requirements.
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of QHSE policies, procedures, and processes.
- Monitor QHSE performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
Audits & Compliance
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits across the business.
- Support external certification, surveillance, and customer audits.
- Ensure audit findings are effectively addressed through corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain certification requirements and support recertification activities.
- Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to management and operational teams.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor quality performance indicators, including defects, non-conformances, rework, and customer complaints.
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist departments in developing robust quality processes and controls.
- Promote best practice and standardisation across the organisation.
Health, Safety & Environmental
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and legal obligations.
- Participate in incident investigations and support corrective actions where required.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Supplier & Customer Quality
- Coordinate supplier assessments and support supplier quality improvement activities.
- Assist with customer quality requirements and specifications.
- Support customer satisfaction initiatives and investigate quality concerns.
- Help maintain effective systems for managing customer feedback and complaints.
Leadership & Team Support
- Provide guidance and support to operational teams on QHSE matters.
- Coach and develop employees in quality and compliance processes.
- Promote ownership and accountability for quality, safety, and environmental performance.
- Support cross-functional teams in achieving QHSE objectives.
About You
- Degree qualification in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Health & Safety, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a Quality, QHSE, or Compliance Management role within a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience managing internal and external audits.
- Understanding of corrective and preventative action processes and root cause analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience developing and maintaining management systems.
- CQI membership or quality-related professional qualification.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
- Knowledge of EN 1090 and ISO 3834.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- APQP experience.
- Experience working within offshore wind, heavy manufacturing, oil & gas, steel, or fabrication environments.
