Job summary

Practice Plus Group Hospital Shepton Mallet is seeking a Quality Governance Manager to lead local governance, incident management, and patient safety initiatives. You will work with senior leaders to strengthen clinical and non-clinical governance and drive service improvement.

You will supervise the Governance Administrator and Patient Feedback Coordinator, manage reporting dashboards, regulatory inspections, and contractual reviews, and help foster a culture of learning and continuous

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare governance, patient safety, risk management, or quality improvement.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks, incident reporting, audit, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong IT skills and experience with reporting systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop local clinical and non-clinical governance arrangements.
• Manage governance systems including incidents, complaints, litigation, risk and quality reporting.
• Support the investigation and management of patient safety events and learning responses.
• Produce governance reports, dashboards and quality assurance documentation.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain and report on organisational risk registers.
• Support regulatory inspections, accreditation programmes and contractual reviews.
• Lead on complaints and claims management processes.
• Provide governance advice to senior leaders and operational teams.
• Support quality improvement and service transformation initiatives.
• Line manage the Governance Administrator and Patient Feedback Coordinator.
