Job summary

COOK is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Operator to join the final stage of our production process. You will seal, sleeve, and box meals, ensure weight and presentation standards, and verify packaging and labeling against specifications.

In a small team, you will spot issues, operate x-ray and metal detection equipment, and help minimize damage and waste. This role requires standing for much of the day and occasional lifting. We value sustainability and community; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or catering; NVQ Level 2 bonus.
• Strong communication and collaborative teamwork.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Seal and box meals to meet weight and presentation standards.
• Verify freezing processes, operate x-ray and metal detection equipment, and ensure packaging/ labeling matches specifications.
• Collaborate in a small team to minimize damage and wastage.
• Be comfortable on your feet and capable of lifting, carrying, bending and reaching.
