Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager for a Plymouth-based manufacturing business. You will lead the Quality Engineering team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high-quality products and customer satisfaction.

In this permanent role you will own quality KPIs, manage complaints and 8D investigations, support NPI and part qualification, and work closely with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain. Competitive salary £55k-£65k plus benefits.

Qualifications

Experience leading quality teams in manufacturing.
Strong problem-solving and quality methodologies.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Quality Engineering team.
Drive continuous improvement and quality performance.
Manage customer complaints and corrective actions.
Lead 8D investigations and root cause analysis.
Own Quality KPIs and departmental reporting.
Support NPI projects and part qualification activities.
Ensure compliance with customer, ISO, and business standards.
Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
Promote a strong health & safety culture.
