Red King Resourcing is seeking a Quality Manager Lead Inspector to own and develop the quality function within a precision engineering manufacturer supplying aerospace, defence and nuclear sectors. The role combines leadership with hands‑on dimensional inspection, including CMM work.

You will lead the Quality Department, maintain the QMS, and perform inspection duties as required, ensuring defect‑free components and strong continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Proven experience with AS9100 and/or BS EN ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Experience in quality management, QA or inspection in precision engineering/manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances, including weld symbols.

Responsabilidades

• Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System in line with AS9100/ISO 9001.
• Plan and conduct internal, supplier and customer audits.
• Manage non-conformances, concessions and 8D reports.
• Lead and develop the quality inspection team and training.
• Oversee calibration systems and supplier quality via vendor assessment.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Produce quality performance reports and trend analyses.
• Perform in-process and final dimensional inspection of precision components.
• Operate and program fixed and portable CMMs.
• Lead First Article Inspection activities with proper documentation.
