Quality Manager – Greater Manchester

Salary: up to £50k + Bonus

We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Manager to support the day-to-day running of the quality function in a busy, fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You’ll be ensuring high standards are maintained and the go to person for all things related to food safety, quality, and compliance.

Please note – this is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

The site has recently undergone a period of significant investment, including the installation of new production and packaging equipment. It’s a busy time and they need an experienced Quality Manager to provide additional support for the next 12 months.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading quality and food safety on shift, resolving issues and ensuring compliance. Working closely with Operations, Hygiene, Engineering, and Supply Chain to keep quality front and centre of all activities. Helping to drive improvements, embedding a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement. Supporting internal and external audits, championing GMP, and ensuring team KPIs are achieved.

About You

To be able to hit the ground running, you’ll ideally have:

• Experience of working in a technical or quality role in a high-volume food production environment.
• Qualified to degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or similar (preferred).
• Demonstrable knowledge of quality and food safety systems (HACCP, TACCP etc).
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work closely with colleagues at all levels.
• Food Safety and HACCP qualifications.
