Job Description:

Role: Quality Manager – FMCG/Food Production

Location: Maidstone, Kent – On Site

Pod Talent is excited to partner with a leading global food manufacturing business known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and high standards. As the company continues to evolve, we’re recruiting a new Quality Manager to join their operational team and help shape the future of their quality systems on-site.

This is an on-site role at a key manufacturing site and will work closely with the London head office. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced quality professional looking to take ownership, influence best practices, and help drive continuous improvement across the operation.

You’ll need to bring strong food industry experience, a working knowledge of BRC and HACCP systems, and the ability to be assertive yet supportive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the Head of Quality with site-level quality operations, including coaching, internal audits, and day-to-day compliance.
  • Leading and participating in BRC audits, customer audits, and food safety assessments.
  • Managing product inspections, quality checks, and documentation, ensuring that all QMS processes are followed.
  • Collaborating with the wider manufacturing team to identify risks, drive improvements, and ensure food safety is always a top priority.
  • Acting as a quality ambassador on-site, promoting high standards while supporting and challenging team members to improve.

What we’re looking for:

  • Essential experience in a food manufacturing environment with strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and regulatory standards.
  • Hands-on knowledge of BRC, HACCP, and internal auditing.
  • A confident, approachable, and assertive communication style – able to guide, train and influence others without being confrontational.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities on the factory floor, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Organised team player and genuinely passionate about food quality.

What’s on offer:

  • A chance to join a growing site and play a key role in shaping its quality operations.
  • Supportive, team-focused environment with regular collaboration with the London office.
  • A comprehensive benefits package including private medical insurance, gym benefits, health and wellbeing support, life insurance, discretionary bonus, and more.

If you're looking for a role where you can really make an impact, grow your influence, and help raise the bar in food safety and quality, we’d love to hear from you.
