Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager for a well-established food manufacturer in Cheshire. You will own Quality and Food Safety systems, lead a QA team and collaborate with Production, Engineering and NPD to uphold high standards.

The role focuses on audit readiness, continuous improvement and maintaining strong relationships with major retailers. You’ll bring HACCP expertise, staff mentorship, and a track record of delivering quality improvements in bakery or related FMCG

Qualifications

  • 3+ years Quality Management experience in Food or Beverage manufacturing.
  • 6+ years senior QA leadership experience in a Food or Beverage environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and internal auditing.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams across departments.
  • Bakery sector experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Food Safety, Quality, HACCP and compliance systems to maintain high operational standards.
  • Leading audits, retailer visits, customer requirements and continuous improvement activities across the site.
  • Investigating quality issues, complaints and non-conformances, implementing robust corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coaching and developing QA teams while promoting strong food safety and quality standards throughout the business.

Are you a Quality Manager or Senior QA professional looking for an impactful role where you can influence standards, develop people and help shape the future of a well-established food manufacturer without sacrificing work-life balance?

This long-established food manufacturer is a recognised name within the industry, supplying high-quality bakery products to many of the nation’s best-known retailers. In this role you’ll take ownership of Quality and Food Safety systems, leading a capable QA team while working closely with Production, Engineering and NPD teams. You’ll play a key role in maintaining audit readiness, promoting continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the business as it continues to strengthen customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Quality Management or QA leadership role in the food or beverage manufacturing sector along with strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, auditing and compliance systems. They’ll also be a people-focused leader that thrives on mentoring and developing QA & QC staff under them.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years Quality Management experience or 6+ years' senior QA leadership experience in a Food or Beverage Manufacturing environment
  • Any experience in the Bakery sector is highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and internal auditing
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and influence teams across multiple departments
  • Relevant Food Science, Food Safety, HACCP or related qualifications would be advantageous
