Job summary

BRUSH Group is seeking a Quality Manager for the Transformers (Loughborough) site to lead and drive quality performance across manufacturing and assembly. You will ensure products are tested, inspected and delivered to customer requirements and engineering specs.

You will lead quality teams, coach engineers, and drive continuous improvement using recognized methodologies, with hybrid working options and a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or related discipline.
• Formal training in root cause analysis and problem solving.
• CQI membership.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality engineering/leadership in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP/FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Establish Inspection and Test Plans and ensure implementation.
• Monitor and improve product conformity at all stages of manufacture and assembly.
• Verify conformity to drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Manage quality hold and witness points.
• Maintain product traceability throughout manufacturing.

What's the role?

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and driving operational quality performance within the Transformers (Loughborough) production facilities. The role ensures that products are manufactured, tested, inspected and delivered in accordance with customer requirements, applicable standards, engineering specifications and company procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Establish Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring effective implementation throughout manufacturing and assembly.
• Monitor and improve product conformity throughout all stages of manufacture and assembly.
• Verify product conformity to drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure quality hold points and witness points are effectively managed.
• Maintain product traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Facilitate root cause analysis activities using recognised methodologies
• Lead investigations into manufacturing non-conformances.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing quality performance.
• Support site quality improvement projects.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to site quality personnel.
• Coach and develop quality engineers and technicians.

What we're looking for:

• HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or related discipline.
• Formal training in root cause analysis and problem solving.
• CQI Membership
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality engineering, quality supervision or quality leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong experience and knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• Leading quality teams within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and inspection requirements.
