Job description

Quality Manager role based in Rochdale. Senior Manager role overseeing QHSE working for a growing manufacturing company.

Client Details

Our client is a growing SME manufacturing company based in Rochdale that is recruiting a Quality Manager to lead the QHSE function.

Description

As a member of the senior management team, the Quality Manager will effectively manage all aspects of Quality across the business, provide leadership to the Quality Departments, and drive a systems-based approach to continuous improvement. They will also be responsible for implementing and improving all QHSE policies, procedures, and strategies.

Key duties include:

  1. Reporting Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality concerns to the Managing Director.
  2. Implementing and improving the Company's QHSE Management System.
  3. Supporting ISO accreditation processes.
  4. Leading internal training initiatives.
  5. Owning the Quality Strategy, responses, and actions.
  6. Maintaining a safe working environment across all locations.
  7. Addressing employee training and development needs in QHSE.

Profile

Ideal candidates will have experience in a Quality or QHSE leadership role within manufacturing, familiarity with automotive and aerospace quality tools (FAIRs, 8D, RCA, ICA, FAI, PPAP), and a background in plastics or tooling is highly advantageous. Candidates should possess leadership qualities, ability to conduct inspections, and knowledge of quality tools, SPC, and potentially Six Sigma. NEBOSH certification or equivalent is required, along with the ability to read technical drawings (GD&T) and operate measurement tools. Exposure to precision tooling and injection moulding is a plus. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Job Offer

£50,000 to £60,000 plus benefits.
