What you will do as the Quality Manager:

1. Ensure full compliance with food safety standards and legislation, with a strong focus on BRC accreditation, driving the implementation and continuous development of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
2. Lead new product development, identifying opportunities to expand the company's product range in line with market trends.
3. Investigate and resolve non-conformances and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions to enhance quality standards.
4. Oversee the internal audit schedule, ensuring full compliance and continuous improvement.
5. Manage and maintain all technical documentation, including internal and external specifications.
6. Approve and audit suppliers, ensuring the integrity of the approved supplier database.
7. Stay ahead of industry trends, providing expert advice on current and upcoming food technology developments that may impact the business.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
9. Provide leadership cover for operations management during periods of absence.
10. Lead the BRC audit team, maintaining the company's AA-grade BRC accreditation.

What you will need to apply for the Quality Manager position:

1. A scientific background, ideally in food science or microbiology.
2. Significant quality/technical experience in the food manufacturing sector.
3. Good knowledge of BRC and HACCP.
4. Flexibility to work on diverse tasks in a small business environment.

What you will receive in return:

1. A salary of up to £45,000 - £50,000 (highly dependent on experience) plus benefits.

Your hours of work:

1. Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.
