Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager to own and lead the Quality department near Diss, Suffolk. The role focuses on food safety, legality and compliance with a proven track record in quality leadership and driving improvements.

You will oversee internal and external audits, manage supplier quality, and maintain Sage 200 and QA documentation. Salary £40,000–£50,000 per annum and standard Monday–Friday hours. Onsite parking available.

Qualifications

• Experience leading during audits and maintaining quality systems.
• Knowledge of BRC standards and quality control processes.
• Ability to liaise with various departments to meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Technical Manager and lead during customer and third‑party audits.
• Conduct internal audits, hygiene, housekeeping and glass audits.
• Carry out environmental, allergen swabbing, ATP and water testing.
• Goods intake assessment and sign‑off of samples for shipment.
• Coordinate material shipping for overseas orders.
• Check certificates of analysis for supplier compliance.
• Collaborate with production to ensure correct product specifications.
• Maintain SAGE 200 with customer and batch attributes.
• Apply Quality Management System and ensure food safety, legality and quality.
• Maintain quality system in accordance with BRC standards.

Henderson Brown are partnered with a leading food manufacture who are looking for a Quality Manager to take ownership and accountability for the Quality department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with leading from the front and experience with Food safety, Quality, Legality and Compliance. They are looking for experience coupled with drive and motivation.

Experience Quality Manager

• Assist Technical Manager where necessary, taking lead during customer and third-party audits.
• Conduct Internal Auditing including Hygiene and Housekeeping, Glass Audits
• Carry out Factory Environmental, Allergen Swabbing, ATP, and Water testing
• Goods Intake assessment / approval of pre shipment samples, sign off goods intake.
• Cover for Raw materials technician where required.
• Organising material for shipping on containers to overseas customers.
• Checking incoming certificates of analysis to ensure compliance to buying specifications.
• Work alongside production team to ensure products are produced to correct specification.
• Maintaining SAGE 200 with customer and batch attributes.
• To work to the company Quality Management System and to apply it fairly and consistently in order to preserve the Food safety, legality and quality of all products sold.
• Maintain quality system in accordance with BRC standards.

Requirements Quality Manager

• Good organisational skills, ability to plan and prioritise different tasks
• Strong relationship building skills, ability to work in a team
• Liaise with other areas of the business as well as externally to obtain data to complete specifications
• Competent IT experience (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel) Knowledge of Sage 200 desirable
• Level 2 HACCP desirable
• Level 2 Food Safety desirable
• Commutable distance from near Diss, Suffolk.
