Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Quality Advisor within Large Capital Project Services in Scotland with base locations including Aberdeen, Perth, Inverness, and Glasgow. Salary ranges from £44,000 to £65,900 plus car or car allowance, performance bonus and a full benefits package.

You will ensure projects comply with SSE's systems and QMS, assess specifications, and lead quality management activities with project teams. A full driving licence and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• A Chartered Quality Professional - Member (CQP MCQI) is highly desirable.
• A current Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001 and experience of auditing internally and in the supply chain.
• You should understand SSE's Transmission business and have knowledge of construction and engineering activities.
• Ability to implement and effectively use company standard management systems.
• Demonstrate leadership in quality management activities and build relationships with management and project teams.
• A full, current driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects operate in accordance with SSE's systems and governance framework.
• Support development and management of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Assess product specifications and project requirements for compliance with standards.
• Define processes with project staff and align cross-disciplinary teams on procedures.
• Provide support and expertise in quality assurance during development and delivery.
