CNC Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven QA Lab Technician to join our prestigious global client in the food production sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an internationally recognised business committed to excellence, sustainability, and food safety.

About the Role:

As a QA Lab Technician, you will be a vital part of the Quality Assurance team, ensuring product safety, legality, and compliance with internal and external quality standards. You will work cross-functionally to maintain the company's IFS Higher Level certification and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sampling and analysis of goods in, including density and moisture testing
  • Perform blend build checks and approvals
  • Prepare and manage internal products tasting sessions and related equipment
  • Commission samples for external lab analysis, including physical preparation and documentation
  • Administer submission forms, lab tables, and sample labelling
  • Record and manage test results in SAP
  • Assist with new product development and flavour granule release
  • Escalate and report any quality, safety, or compliance issues

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Prior experience within a Quality Management System environment (food industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of IFS or BRC standards (Higher or AA status)
  • Strong understanding of production and warehouse procedures
  • Familiarity with organic standards and QMS protocols

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Competence in SAP or similar systems (preferred)
  • Strong administrative and documentation skills

Education & Certifications:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene
  • Level 2 HACCP
  • Understanding of GMP and food safety legislation
  • High attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork
