Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Quality Inspector in Thame to bolster our manufacturing quality team. The role focuses on AS9102 First Article Inspections, dimensional and cosmetic inspections, and maintaining accurate daily reports to ensure product conformance and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings, use handheld inspection tools, and work collaboratively with customers and suppliers to resolve non-conformances while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in using handheld inspection equipment, rules, venires, etc.

Responsibilities

• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports for goods manufactured in-house.
• Inspect and verify AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports submitted by suppliers.
• Carry out dimensional and cosmetic inspection of goods manufactured in-house or by suppliers.
• Maintain daily inspection figures/reports.
• Support in identifying and handling non-conforming product.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time to support customer schedules.
• Communicate effectively with Customers, Suppliers & Colleagues.
• Assist with other duties to support the business.

Position: Quality Inspector

Location: Thame

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for an Quality Inspector to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Thame.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Quality Inspector to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports for goods manufactured in-house.
• Inspection and verification of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports submitted by the supply
• Carry out dimensional and cosmetic inspection of goods manufactured in-house or by the
• Maintain daily inspection figures/reports.
• Support in the identification and handling of non-conforming (NC) product.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time to support customer schedules.
• Communicate effectively & professionally with Customers, Suppliers & Colleagues.
• Any other duties that may be required from time to time to support the business.

Skills & Experience

• Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings & Specifications.
• Experience in using handheld inspection equipment, rules, venires etc.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal & written.
• Team player, enthusiastic with a positive 'can do' attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task & manage own time to meet required deadlines.
