Job summary

Aspion is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its precision engineering team in Stockport. You will perform incoming, in-process and final inspections, interpret drawings and GD&T, and operate CMMs to verify dimensional accuracy.

Working closely with Production and Engineering, you will raise NCRs when needed, maintain traceable quality records and support ISO 9001 compliance. The role offers a daytime schedule, salary £39,500-£41,500 per annum, pension and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong CMM operation and programming experience.
• Good understanding of conventional metrology and dimensional inspection.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using micrometres, verniers, bore gauges and CMMs.
• Experience producing inspection reports and ISO 9001 knowledge.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Able to collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
• Proactive in identifying quality issues and improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication and the ability to challenge quality when needed.

Our client is looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their Quality team, responsible for ensuring products meet specified requirements and comply with the company's ISO 9001 standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector who enjoys a hands on role involving CMM inspection, conventional metrology, first off inspection, non conformance, and working closely with Production and Engineering to maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Quality Inspector within an engineering, manufacturing, or precision engineering environment.
• Strong CMM operation and programming experience.
• Good understanding of conventional metrology and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using inspection equipment including micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, and CMMs.
• Experience producing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality records.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality requirements.
• Experience dealing with non-conforming products and raising NCRs.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• A proactive approach to identifying quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Good communication skills with the confidence to challenge where quality requirements are not being met.
