Job summary

Ambitek Limited is seeking a Quality Inspector with a machine shop background to join our manufacturing team in the Trafford area. The role involves inspecting high precision machined parts, both visually and with gauges and measurement instruments, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience reading drawings, using micrometres and vernier calipers, and a meticulous eye for accuracy, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Ability to use a wide range of inspection equipment – Micrometres, Vernier calipers, etc.
• Detailed inspection of a wide range of precision components and fabrications in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Good organisational skills, record keeping and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work on own initiative to think through problems to find solutions within guidelines.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to question a process and suggest possible improvements.

About the firm

Our client is an excellent engineering firm who are one of the leaders in their field. Based in Trafford they require a Quality Inspector from a machine shop background.

Your Day to day duties in the role

Inspection of high precision machined parts, both visual & using verniers & gauges.

Experience/Skills and Education Requirements

• * Ability to read engineering drawings
• * Ability to use a wide range of inspection equipment - Micrometres, Vernier's etc.
• * Detailed inspection of a wide range of precision components and fabrications in accordance with engineering drawings and written specifications.
• * Good organisational skills, record keeping and ability to prioritise tasks.
• * Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines.
• * Ability to work on own initiative to think through problems to find solutions within agreed guidelines.
• * Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• * Ability to question a process and suggest possible improvements.

Experience

• * Experience in all inspection functions and activities.
• * Experience of operating computing equipment for data processes.
• * Experience of inspection within the nuclear industry is desired.
• * Working knowledge of measurement instruments.

Hours of work

• * Monday to Friday 07.30 - 4pm
• * The work is on an on-going basis.
