Job summary

The Best Connection in Newport, Shropshire, is seeking a Quality Inspector / Packer to join a growing manufacturing team. You will inspect finished products, perform visual and dimensional quality checks, and pack items to customer specifications.

Full training will be provided to help you develop accuracy and quality-focused habits. The position offers a Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm and Friday 8:00am–3:30pm schedule, with £12.71 per hour, overtime opportunities, and the potential to convert to

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, packing or quality inspection would be advantageous.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished products to meet quality standards.
• Carry out visual and dimensional quality checks on manufactured components.
• Use measuring equipment and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Pack finished products safely and accurately to customer requirements.
• Read and follow production instructions and basic engineering drawings.
• Complete quality records and production paperwork.
• Record information accurately using spreadsheets and production documents.
• Assist with finishing and preparation of products where required.
• Support goods-in and goods-out activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.

The Role

• Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Carrying out visual and dimensional quality checks on manufactured components
• Using measuring equipment and gauges to verify product specifications
• Packing finished products safely and accurately to customer requirements
• Reading and following production instructions and basic engineering drawings
• Completing quality records and production paperwork
• Recording information accurately using spreadsheets and production documents
• Assisting with finishing and preparation of products where required
• Supporting goods‑in and goods‑out activities
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets and quality standards are met

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
