We are currently recruiting a Quality Inspector for one of our Aerospace clients in Reading. Our client, a dynamic and innovative aircraft manufacturer, is renowned within the Aerospace and Defence sectors, supplying high-quality sheet metal work and fabrications to leading companies in the industry. They are seeking a skilled and ambitious Quality Inspector to join their inspection team and uphold their established standards. This role offers opportunities for progression and the chance to make a significant impact on the Aerospace industry.

Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector Role

1. Produce First Article Inspection Reports and utilize a CMM in support of this.
2. Conduct roaming and final inspections for all products.
3. Inspect incoming goods from sub-contract suppliers.
4. Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality matters, queries, and non-conformances.
5. Raise Certificates of Conformity and delivery documentation.
6. Assist in the calibration of external and internal equipment.
7. Raise sub-contract Purchase Orders with approved suppliers.
8. Communicate with all staff levels regarding quality and continuous improvement opportunities.
9. Support management in fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
10. Maintain current approvals for AS9100 & Nadcap.
11. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager.

Requirements for the Quality Inspector Role

• Experience within the Aerospace/Defence sectors.
• Experience using CMM Equipment (preferably Aberlink).
• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector/Engineer.
• Knowledge of regulations from governing bodies such as the CAA and EASA.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
