gap technical is proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for an Inspector to work at their facility near Welwyn Garden City.

Performance Objectives

1. Inspect parts according to drawings, jigs & fixtures, lofts, etc., and report results (First Article reports, inspection reports, etc.).
2. Use measuring equipment such as CMM, callipers, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, thickness checking gauges, etc.
3. Check paperwork for compliance (e.g., route card sign-off, subcontract paperwork, etc.).
4. Ensure knowledge and compliance with quality procedures.
5. Administer non-conforming parts using established company systems and procedures.
6. Work in accordance with production & QC priorities, instructions, and workloads.
7. Ensure inspection equipment is fully functional and within calibration.
8. Report any non-conformance or issues meeting requirements.
9. Use Microsoft Office and Aventa to generate relevant paperwork and records.
10. Maintain good housekeeping of drawings, specifications, records, equipment, and work area.
11. Comply with Health and Safety / Environmental requirements and procedures.

Person Specification

1. GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths.
2. Health & Safety training.
3. Experience in inspection protocols.
4. Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
5. Good interpersonal skills to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
6. Good time management and organizational skills.

Desirable Skills

1. Audit trained.
2. Experience in inspection within the aerospace industry.
3. Experience with CMM.
4. IT proficiency with data input and retrieval skills.
