Job summary

A leading manufacturing business is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure the standards of mechanical components in the motorsport and aerospace sectors. The role involves performing quality inspections, raising reports on non-conformance, and providing technical advice on the shop floor. Candidates should possess a good understanding of mechanical components and machining processes, as well as proficiency in manual inspection methods and QA IT systems.

Qualifications

• Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel for QA IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Quality inspection of mechanical components for the motorsport & aerospace industries.

Due to new procedures in the company, they have an opportunity for a Quality Inspector.

Duties:

1. Quality inspection of mechanical components using conventional inspection equipment for the motorsport & aerospace industries.
2. Raise Inspection Reports when a part is wrong and follow up the issue.
3. Inspect parts following the factory priorities.
4. Inspect 1st offs from machine shop.
5. Carry out problem solving and provide technical advice, as required, to the shop floor.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of mechanical components.
• Good understanding of machining processes.
• Must be able to use manual inspection equipment.
• A good level of computer literacy, including Word and Excel, to enable operation of QA IT systems.
