Job summary

EMBS Engineering is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a Derby-based, precision engineering company on a permanent basis. The role involves inspecting machined and fabricated safety-critical components and using a range of handheld measuring equipment.

You will operate CMM equipment, analyze results, and contribute to quality decisions while working 06:00–14:30 Mon-Thu and 06:00–10:30 Fridays. UK resident required; visa sponsorship unavailable.

Qualifications

• Previously worked in a precision engineering environment in a quality role.
• Experience carrying out first-off inspections using manual equipment.
• Able to operate CMM machines.
• Confident analysing and recording results to make quality decisions.
• Strong ability to manage workloads in an organised, efficient manner.

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering company located in Derby, working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting machined and fabricated safety‑critical components
• Working with a wide range of handheld measuring equipment
• Operating CMM Equipment

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Previously worked in a precision engineering environment in a quality role
• Experience of carrying out "first off" inspections using manual equipment
• Able to operate CMM machines
• Confidence with analysing and recording results to be able to make appropriate quality decisions
• Strong ability to manage workloads effectively and work in an organised, efficient manner
