We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Droitwich. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections throughout the manufacturing process, recording inspection results, identifying non-conformances and working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
Read, interpret and inspect components against engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Carry out dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment including Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs and FARO equipment.
Inspect incoming materials, work in progress and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Record inspection results and report any non-conformances.
Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Complete and maintain inspection records, non-conformance reports and quality documentation.
Assist with updating inspection procedures and quality documentation.
Support calibration activities where required.
Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Recommend improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures.
Assist with internal and external quality audits.
Promote safe working practices and report any health and safety concerns.
Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong experience interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T (essential).
Experience using precision measuring equipment such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs and FARO arms.
Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Experience completing inspection reports and non-conformance documentation.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
Welding inspection knowledge or experience (advantageous but not essential).
Experience with HVAC products or control systems.
Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001).
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
UK Citizen.
Full, clean UK driving licence and own transport.
Able to work 100% onsite at the Droitwich facility.
