Job summary

Quality Inspector role within Nicholas Associates in the precision engineering sector near Redditch. You will visually inspect metal components and perform dimensional checks using hand tools.

Requires experience with verniers and callipers and reading engineering drawings. Overtime is available; 39-hour week, late shift. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including a pension scheme.

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Industry: Precision Engineering

Location: near Redditch

Shift: Late Shift - Monday-Wednesday (4.30pm to 2.30am) and Thursdays (4.30pm to 1.30am)

Pay: Starting at £17.96 - £18.64 per hour - DOE with rates up to £20.70 available

Contracted hours per week: 39hrs

Overtime available at x1.33 Mon-Fri, x1.5 Saturday and x2 Sunday

Holidays/Benefits: Holidays are calculated in hours but work out to be 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year inc. bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks inc. bank holidays following 1 year of continuous service. Death in Service Benefit - 2 x annual salary. Employer 3% / Employee 5% - Pension.

Overview

We now require a Quality Inspector to join the team. You will be tasked to visually inspect metal components with some dimensional checks also required, using hand tools such as verniers, callipers, depth/height gauges.

Responsibilities

• Visually and dimensionally inspect metal precision engineered components.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience using handheld measuring tools such as verniers, callipers, etc.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Commutable from: Evehsam, Alcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch, Droitwich, Worcester and surrounding areas.
