Overview

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join a well-known UK automotive manufacturer in Basingstoke. This role offers variety and the chance to enter a dynamic industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Inspect incoming goods
2. Support full quality inspections in compliance with AS9100 standards
3. Conduct internal audits and prepare non-conformity reports
4. Prepare inspection reports using FAIRS
5. Perform final inspection of parts
6. Utilize various inspection tools
7. Assist with calibration systems
8. Collaborate with production teams and section leaders

Skills and Experience

• Advanced apprenticeship or higher education qualification in mechanical engineering
• Experience as a mechanical inspector or quality inspector in CNC or precision engineering
• Proficient in using handheld measuring tools such as linear height gauges, bore gauges, and surface finish testers
• Preferably familiar with AS9100 standards
• Some experience with CMM, ideally Mitutoyo
