Are you a detail-oriented Quality Inspector looking to join a leading name in high-tech engineering? Our client is renowned for producing mission-critical, precision-engineered components that meet the highest performance and compliance standards. The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring all manufactured components meet stringent quality and dimensional requirements. Your role will span the full inspection lifecycle—from goods-in to in-process and final checks—while also supporting documentation and continuous improvement efforts across the quality function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Goods Inwards, In-Process, and Final Inspections using manual and semi-automated measurement equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings accurately, with a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Generate detailed inspection reports and complete relevant quality documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (CofCs) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Support and contribute to the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) and 8D root cause analysis processes.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with internal quality procedures and route cards.
• Assist with the upkeep and accuracy of the calibration system.
• Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to drive compliance and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
• A Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (preferred).
• Prior experience in precision engineering or CNC machining inspection is essential.
• Proficiency with a range of measurement tools including height gauges, bore gauges, surface testers, and ideally CMMs (Mitutoyo preferred).
• Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100 or similar.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organisational skills.
