Job summary

CEVA Logistics UK&I in Barton-under-Needwood is seeking an Inspection Technician to support quality standards and customer requirements. The role is Monday–Friday, 7:30 to 16:00, with a salary of £36,000 per year.

You will perform dimensional and visual inspections of finished parts, ensure compliance with drawings and methods, help maintain safety and warehouse controls, and train teammates as needed while building strong relationships with the client.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English or Maths.
• Experience in a complex warehousing environment.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to complete the required training and assessments.
• Previous quality or inspection experience and the ability to complete measurement assessments (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Uphold health, safety, hygiene, security, and environmental standards, supporting site inspections and incident investigations where required.
• Carry out dimensional and visual inspections in line with engineering drawings, specifications, and approved inspection methods.
• Maintain the required technical competence, accreditations, and stamp-holder authorisation.
• Ensure accurate handling, movement, and storage of goods, following all warehouse controls, including non-conforming parts procedures.
• Support continuous improvement, cost-efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
• Build effective working relationships with the client and internal stakeholders to maintain high standards of service and operational performance.
