Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking a Warehouse Operative in the UK to support day-to-day warehouse tasks, including receipt, storage and shipping of materials, while upholding safety and accuracy. The role involves quality inspections of raw and finished parts, communicating issues, and participating in continuous improvement and project initiatives.

Key requirements include GCSEs in Maths and English and basic health and safety knowledge. Forklift or Bendi licences are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Working in a warehouse environment.
• Good communication verbal and written skills.
• Reading of technical drawings.
• Awareness of Quality standards.
• Stock taking.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, and related reporting.
• Maintains a cohesive team environment.
• Establishes effective lines of communications within and across departments to ensure highest possible productivity.
• Maintains constant communication with internal and stakeholders.
• Participates in problem solving activities and inquiries.
• Assists with international and hazardous material shipments, as required.
• Ensures compliance to all company policies, procedures, standards, and goals.
• Recommends process and procedure changes, leading to increased efficiency and effectiveness of material control processes.
• Contributes to delivery performance and inventory accuracy through cycle count program.
• Manages a safe workplace by advocating incident prevention and preparedness.
