Job summary

Elysium Healthcare’s Lakefield Neurological Centre in Chigwell is seeking a Quality Improvement Lead on a 9-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on governance, safeguarding, and driving continuous quality improvements within a neuro-rehabilitation setting.

You will monitor audits, oversee competencies, embed lessons learned, and provide governance assurances while collaborating with training and clinical teams to raise standards of care.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a neurological setting would be beneficial.
  • Solid understanding of governance, safeguarding, and contractual reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging professionals at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher).
  • Ability to manage your workload independently, meet deadlines, and adapt under pressure.
  • A flexible, reliable, and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • To monitor completion of clinical quality audits and associated action plans.
  • To oversee clinical competencies and ensure compliance throughout the unit.
  • Oversee cascading of lessons learned and ensure changes are embedded.
  • Provide assurances within the governance framework with regards to clinical quality compliance
  • To lead quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
  • Work closely with the training department with maintaining high compliance.
  • To ensure that both internal and external compliance measures are achieved and maintained and enabled to be evidenced.
  • Monitor, report and elevate any clinical risks or concerns associated with audit processes.
  • Support with trend analysis from audits and clinical information and elevate accordingly.
  • Support the compilation of reports for governance and communicate findings and content within the meeting.
  • To lead on service improvements initiatives based on internal and external repots and action plans.

Where you will be working:

Lakefield’s Neurological Centre, Lambourne Road, Chigwell, IG7 6HH


Lakefields Neurological Centre will be a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life. The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care.
Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access to beautiful gardens.
