Cummins Daventry is seeking an enthusiastic student to join the Quality team for the Plant business unit on-site this Summer 2027. This placement will expose you to how a global manufacturer operates and equip you with tools to power your potential.

You will work independently and with peers on tasks such as production quality, testing, documentation and data analysis using Python and Power BI. You’ll gain hands-on experience in measurement, calibration and working toward a degree in Mechanical

Formación

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Willing to be on-site in Daventry during placement.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience with Python, Power BI or data analytics is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Working independently and within a team to support key tasks and projects.
• Support Production Quality: assist engineers with production and inspection activities.
• Monitor material performance and help maintain consistent quality.
• Identify defects by comparing components to technical specs.
• Conduct basic electrical, reliability and packaging tests.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare simple technical reports.
• Assist in measurement uncertainty studies and calibration outcomes.
• Help customers interpret product specifications and measurement data.
• Maintain test equipment and calibration standards.
