Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer for a permanent role in South Molton to support QA across sectors including automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements on site.

You will lead quality improvements, perform data analysis, and drive corrective actions using 8D and Six Sigma while developing inspections, test plans, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience with ISO9001 and customer-specific quality schemes.
• Proficiency in Six Sigma, 8D, and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of lean techniques such as pFMEA and Control Plans.
• Experience in quality system and process auditing.
• Knowledge of product testing requirements and end-user specifications.
• Ability to lead cross-functional process-improvement teams.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer interface and ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Support manufacturing through data collection and analysis to ensure product and process quality.
• Resolve technical and business process issues using 8D and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Implement and improve Quality Management Systems for new and existing products and processes.
• Participate in internal quality audits and complete part approval documentation.
• Analyse organisational quality metrics and recommend action plans to address gaps.
• Develop and improve inspection and test plans, standards, and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve quality problems, following up on corrective actions.
