Job summary

DCS Recruitment is seeking a Quality Engineer for a precision engineering business at their Greater Manchester facility. You will work closely with production, inspection and engineering teams to ensure products meet customer specifications throughout manufacture, resolving quality issues on components and assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on inspection experience, be familiar with engineering drawings, and have exposure to CMM or Keyence systems, APQP, FAIR, MRB, and root-cause

Qualifications

• Quality Engineer
• Manufacturing or aerospace background
• Time-served Inspector highly desirable
• Hands-on inspection experience
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings
• CMM / Keyence experience

Responsibilities

• Investigate product non-conformances
• Support MRB activities
• Raise concessions
• Complete First Article Inspection (FAIR)
• Support APQP activities
• Review engineering drawings and specifications
• Support production and inspection teams
• Resolve manufacturing quality issues
• Carry out root cause investigations
• Drive product quality improvements
• Work with suppliers and customers on product issues
