Job summary

DCS Recruitment is assisting a well-established precision engineering business in Greater Manchester to hire a Quality Engineer focused on compliance, audits and quality systems within highly regulated aerospace and defence sectors.

The role concentrates on audits, quality systems and continuous improvement, working with the manufacturing team to uphold AS9100 standards and external accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• AS9100 knowledge required.
• Experience with internal audits.
• Experience with QMS/IMS.
• Manufacturing background preferred.
• Previous inspection experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the QMS / IMS.
• Conduct internal process and system audits.
• Support external customer, AS9100 and accreditation audits.
• Manage non-conformances from a systems perspective.
• Support MRB and concession processes.
• Produce quality reports and KPI data.
• Develop SOPs and quality documentation.
• Drive corrective and preventative actions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support calibration systems.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace and customer requirements.
