Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Dunstable seeks a Quality Engineer for the PM/Night Shift to own quality across the shift. Mon–Thu, 3:45pm–1:30am, with a 33% shift allowance and a £40,000–£45,000 base salary. A 4-day week option is mentioned for higher total earnings.

You'll work with Production and Engineering to identify issues, investigate root causes and keep manufacturing moving, with hands-on authority on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience within aerospace, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Practical engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with 8D, FMEA, Control Plans and Ishikawa/root cause analysis.
• The confidence to investigate problems and work collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Production and Engineering with quality issues, investigations and improvement activities.
• Lead and support root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA and Control Plans.
• Carrying out and reporting on product and process qualification testing.
• Monitoring incoming and outgoing quality and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Raising and managing quality notifications and alerts.
• Participating in the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
• Investigating customer returns and working with Production, Engineering and R&D to identify root causes.
• Reviewing and approving minor process deviations and product concessions.
• Supporting verification and validation activities.
• Driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and product quality.
