Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is hiring a Quality Engineer for the PM/Night Shift in Dunstable, offering a base salary of £40,000-£45,000 plus a 33% shift allowance. The role is permanent, full-time, with hours Monday to Thursday 3:45pm-1:30am, providing a 4-day week option.

You'll work within an established Quality Assurance team on aerospace/regulated manufacturing, leading root-cause investigations, driving improvements and ensuring products meet standards across the shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Practical engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with 8D, FMEA, Control Plans and Ishikawa/root cause analysis.
• Confident in investigating problems and working with Production and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Production and Engineering with quality issues, investigations and improvement activities.
• Leading root-cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA and Control Plans.
• Carrying out and reporting on product and process qualification testing.
• Monitoring incoming and outgoing quality and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Raising and managing quality notifications and alerts.
• Participating in the MRB process.
• Investigating customer returns and working with Production, Engineering and R&D to identify root causes.
• Reviewing and approving minor process deviations and product concessions.
• Supporting verification and validation activities.
• Driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and product quality.

The Quality Engineer Role

You’ll join an established Quality Assurance team within a busy industrial manufacturing environment, supporting the production operation throughout the PM shift.

You’ll be responsible for helping to ensure components, sub‑assemblies and finished products meet the required standards, while preventing quality issues from progressing through the manufacturing process or reaching the customer.

Key responsibilities, as a Quality Engineer will include:

• Supporting Production and Engineering with quality issues, investigations and improvement activities.
• Leading and supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA and Control Plans.
• Carrying out and reporting on product and process qualification testing.

• Participating in the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
• Investigating customer returns and working with Production, Engineering and R&D to identify root causes.

About You, as a Quality Engineer

We’re looking for a hands‑on Quality Engineer who enjoys being involved in the detail and isn’t afraid to get onto the shop floor and investigate problems.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience within aerospace, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Practical engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with 8D, FMEA, Control Plans and Ishikawa/root cause analysis.
• The confidence to investigate problems and work collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams.

The Package

£40,000 - £45,000 basic salary 33% shift allowance

That’s a total earning opportunity of £50,000 - £60,000, working Monday to Thursday, 3:45pm - 1:30am.
