JRL Group’s East Midlands facility near the A1 in Carlton on Trent is recruiting a Quality Engineer to strengthen the modular quality team. You will lead quality checks, support NPI, and ensure products meet standards and customer requirements.

The role requires at least 5 years in quality engineering, an engineering degree, and manufacturing experience. Strong analytical skills, good communication, and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma are desirable; Field View experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role.
  • Degree in Engineering or similar subject.
  • Background in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality standards / Lean Six Sigma (desirable).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with NPI, FMEA, SPC and APQP.
  • Good communication and ability to lead.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Field View software is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and run quality checks and test procedures during new product introduction.
  • Carry out audits, review data, and suggest improvements.
  • Investigate defects and put solutions in place.
  • Work with production and other teams to fix issues quickly.
  • Train and support team members.
  • Keep all quality records and documentation up to date.
