Job summary

A leading company in the aerospace and defense sectors is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to enhance their team. This permanent position focuses on APQP and PPAP processes within a state-of-the-art facility, aimed at driving quality assurance and continuous improvement. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating activities for new product introductions while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in general APQP and PPAP application.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with PFMEA.
  • Experience in supporting NPI processes.

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s team at their state-of-the-art facility based in Tewkesbury on a permanent basis.

Our client design and manufacture complex mechanical products for global application in the aerospace and defence sectors.

Key deliverables of this position will centre around APQP and PPAP, therefore demonstrable experience in these areas is a necessity.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Engineer

  • Support APQP integration and implementation into NPI process.
  • Support advanced quality planning activities.
  • Incorporate customer requirements into NPI processes.
  • Integrate lessons learned into APQP activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor PPAP activities.
  • Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes.
  • Support cross functional teams in non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Resolve corrective actions raised during audits.

Skills and Experience: Quality Engineer

  • Experience in general APQP and PPAP application.
  • Experience of working in an AS9100 environment.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with PFMEA.
  • Experience in supporting NPI.
  • Effective communication internally and externally.
