Job summary

KAEFER UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join the fabrication shop in Jarrow on a permanent basis. You’ll oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control in Manufacturing and across the supply chain, compiling lifetime quality records for delivery to the customer.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, liaise with Client QA/QC teams, and ensure compliance with client specifications and the KAEFER QMS.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Quality Engineer in a highly regulated industry.
• Experience in Manufacturing and Welding.
• Qualifications in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control (valid or recently lapsed).

Responsibilities

• Monitor Quality Control in Manufacturing and Supply Chain (End to End processes).
• Perform Quality Assurance/Surveillance to ensure adherence to Specifications & Procedures.
• Establish, maintain, review and improve processes and Records templates for efficiency.
• Compile LTQR records for delivery to the customer.
• Review and approve LTQR records for delivery to the customer.
• Ensure delivery in accordance with Client specifications and KAEFER quality management system.
• Lead on continuous improvement activities to enhance performance.
• Visit suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
