Job summary

Omega Resource Group seeks a Quality Engineer to join its Quality team in Gloucester. Reporting to the QHSE Manager, the role supports production and supplier quality, leads improvement activities, and ensures ISO 9001 compliance.

You will drive PPAP, audits, NPI quality, and cross-functional collaboration across lean manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate brings lean manufacturing and supplier QA experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with CMM and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Lean manufacturing experience with supplier quality management.
• HNC or equivalent Engineering qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ideally IATF 16949.
• Experience managing PPAP processes and supplier approvals.
• Proven use of structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, RCA, DMAIC).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hands-on quality support to assembly, identify and contain issues.
• Act as primary quality contact for production to ensure flow.
• Lead root cause investigations using 8D, RCA, DMAIC, 5 Why.
• Implement corrective actions to deliver sustainable quality improvements.
• Perform inspections and measurements to verify conformance.
• Develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
• Support PPAP for new products and changes; assist NPI.
• Assist internal and external audits and travel UK-wide.
