Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead a multi-disciplined team and ensure the highest standard of product quality. The role involves supporting NPI projects from development to customer delivery and engaging with customers and suppliers to translate requirements into production processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with PPAP, IPC, ISO 9001 and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven experience in a Quality role within manufacturing environments.
• Experience in product and process audits.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality team to ensure highest standard of product quality across the business.
• Contribute to efficient NPIs from development through production and to customers.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to capture requirements and implement in production.
• Assist with capability assessments on equipment and processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety, legal and customer requirements from design to launch.
• Prepare quality documentation as needed.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Support the Quality team to ensure the highest standard of product throughout the business.
• Contributing to the efficient journey of NPI projects from initial development, throughout production, and introduction to customers.
• Engaging with customers and suppliers to understand customer concepts and requirements & work with the Quality team to implement this information into production.
• Supporting with capability assessments on equipment and processes.
• Ensuring adherence to safety, legal, and customer specific requirements throughout the entire process, from design to launch.
• Supporting with the preparation of quality documentation.
• Liaising with customers to understand and rectify quality problems with products from supply chain to customer aftercare.
• Contributing to a culture of defect prevention and waste elimination.
• Implementing and supporting processes to ensure that corrective action is applied consistently throughout the business and across all products, ensuring that quality issues are not repeated in any other product or process.
• Working with the Quality and Technical team, to support systems improving inter-departmental communications around quality issues, ensuring that concerns and corrective action are communicated appropriately throughout the business.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience of working with PPAP, IPC, ISO 9001, Six Sigma.
• Proven experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience of participating in product and process audits,
• Strong leadership skills, being able to influence internal teams.
• Experience in customer relationship management, able to engage with high value customers and build strong business relationships
