Job summary

Swift Temps NW is seeking a Quality Engineer / Engineering Liaison in the United Kingdom to support precision engineering and manufacturing projects. You will perform dimensional inspection, 3D scanning and supplier QA while acting as a link between engineering design and production.

The role focuses on interpreting drawings and tolerances, investigating discrepancies and ensuring components conform to approved specifications. Experience with CAD comparison tools and metrology is highly valued.

Qualifications

Background in engineering quality and ability to investigate issues across technical teams to ensure components meet demanding engineering standards.
Experience with 3D scanning and dimensional inspection, supplier quality assurance, or engineering liaison within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Knowledge of quality management systems and relevant industry quality standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

Act as a point of contact between engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement and external suppliers on technical and quality-related matters.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, technical specifications and tolerances to communicate component requirements clearly.
Liaise with design and manufacturing engineers to investigate dimensional discrepancies, component defects and manufacturing issues.
Identify whether quality issues relate to manufacturing processes, supplier components, drawing requirements or design specifications.
Coordinate investigation and resolution of technical queries, ensuring issues are recorded, followed up and closed out.
