Job summary

Advantage Resourcing UK Ltd is recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-precision metals facility in the Manchester area. You will own QA processes, drive APQP, PFMEAs, and EARLY NPI stages, and lead formal concessions with engineering and customer delegates.

The role requires a time-served inspector or qualified engineer with strong skills in GD&T, FAIRs, MRB, NCRs, and a pragmatic defect-reduction approach. UK SC clearance eligibility may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as Quality Engineer or Senior Inspector in metallic manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specs.

Responsibilities

• Drive QA across new product introductions and serial manufacturing using APQP, PFMEAs.
• Compile, audit, and approve FAIRs to AS9102 and customer standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis for internal and supplier non-conformances; chair MRB meetings.
• Author and manage engineering concession requests with internal/external stakeholders.
• Identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and embed Lean to boost first-time pass rates.
• Maintain 5S standards and a safety-first culture on the plant floor.
