Job summary

The Whittan Group operates from Milton Keynes and seeks a Quality Engineer to support and maintain quality processes on site within the Health & Safety and Quality team. You will ensure product conformity and manage NCRs across the manufacturing environment.

You will conduct internal audits, drive continual improvement, and train shop-floor personnel with SAP familiarity, contributing to cost reduction and process control.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ISO standards.
• Experience in engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Methodical and very organized.
• Good written and oral reporting skills to the business and customers.
• Able to work on own initiative and train others.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Manage and influence others to achieve key objectives.
• Knowledge of internal auditing.
• Be able to review and flow chart a process.
• Understanding of measuring equipment and engineering drawings.
• Work with suppliers to ensure specifications are met – Steel, Chemical etc.
• Computer literate, SAP preferable

Responsibilities

• Internal auditing of all areas.
• Customer-focused resolution of issues.
• Quality inspections and ensure product conformity.
• Oversee documentation control – company forms register.
• Raising of NCRs / corrective actions.
• Support continual improvement initiatives.
• Training of key processes to shop floor personnel.
• Monitoring / upkeep of process boards.
• Calibration & issuance of all measuring equipment.
• Collection of scrap data to drive cost down.
• Writing of new procedures.
• 8D and problem-solving analysis.
