Job summary

Agratas – A Tata Enterprise is hiring a Quality Engineer, Calibration & Measurement Systems to support the management and continuous improvement of calibration and measurement systems at our Bridgwater site. You will ensure equipment is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose, working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Laboratory and Quality teams.

Key activities include maintaining calibration records, coordinating internal and external calibrations, performing MSA studies and driving improvements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Metrology, Physics or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience with calibration, measurement systems or metrology within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025 or Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Experience working with monitoring and measuring equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal and external calibration activities and ensure equipment remains compliant.
  • Verify calibration certificates and maintain traceable records.
  • Support investigations into out-of-tolerance equipment and measurement-related issues.
  • Conduct and support MSA activities including GR&R, bias, linearity and stability studies.
  • Analyse measurement data and support improvement activities.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment and measurement systems.
  • Work with external calibration suppliers and laboratory partners.
  • Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025 and internal quality standards.
  • Assist with internal, customer and third‑party audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to improve measurement capability and system performance.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure effective measurement and calibration controls.

As a Quality Engineer, Calibration & Measurement Systems, you will support the management and continuous improvement of Agratas' calibration and measurement systems, ensuring equipment is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Laboratory and Quality teams, you will help maintain compliance with industry standards, support Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities and ensure monitoring and measuring equipment can consistently support product and process quality. This is an exciting opportunity to help build world‑class quality systems within one of the UK's largest battery manufacturing facilities.

Essential


What you'll bring…



  • Degree in Engineering, Metrology, Physics or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience with calibration, measurement systems or metrology within a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025 or Measurement System Analysis (MSA).

  • Experience working with monitoring and measuring equipment.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working across cross‑functional teams.


Preferred



  • Experience within battery, automotive or advanced manufacturing.

  • Experience conducting MSA studies and interpreting results.

  • Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, FMEA or PPAP.

  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification.

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced or scale‑up environment.
